The Start-up Slams put innovation in the spotlight, giving promising start-ups the opportunity to present their project to key MedTech, Diagnostics & Digital Health industry stakeholders — from MedTech executives and healthcare leaders to strategic partners and investors — and leverage visibility to initiate partnership discussions.

How does it work?

APPLICATION

⚠️ To apply to the Start-up Slams, you must be registered for MedFIT ⚠️

To apply, the candidate must:

Be a start-up company or a company in creation
Seek funding (pre-seed to Series B)
Develop an innovative product/technology
Be registered for MedFIT
Fill out the application form and send it to the MedFIT organisers before September 17^th, 2026

Before the event

PRELIMINARY SELECTION

All applications will be reviewed by a jury (composed of high level representatives and international experts from public and private institutions, MedTech, Diagnostics and Digital Health industries and investors) who will select the most innovative projects.
The selected candidates will have access to a dedicated meeting space within the exhibition area during MedFIT at a preferential rate.

FINAL SELECTION

Only a limited number of projects can be presented during MedFIT.
The jury will mark each application and select the best innovative projects.
The projects selected during this second round will have the opportunity to be presented during MedFIT.
All applicants will be contacted with feedback and advice from the jury to help develop the projects.
Selected candidates will be given guidelines and will have the opportunity to take part in a warm-up session with expert jury members to train before the actual presentation during MedFIT.
The selected candidates will benefit from an exclusive 50% discount on a dedicated meeting space on the Innov’Area within the exhibition area during MedFIT.

Pitch & award

The pitchers will have 5 minutes to present their innovation, business model and company strategy, in front of a jury of experts, and potential partners and investors
The panel of experts will mark the presentation and give valuable feedback and advice to the pitcherss.
The project with the best mark (written application and on-site presentation) will be selected by the jury of experts.
The winner will be recognised as the most innovative start-up in MedTech / Diagnostics / Digital Health in Europe during the 2^nd day of MedFIT.
